About The Owner
Earl Laverty
Earl Laverty, the owner of Laverty Log Homes, has been in the Log Home and Timber Frame industry for nine years. Earl has worked as an instructor in Western Canada for log home builder apprentices and is an active member in the International Log Builders Association (ILBA). Currently, Earl is on the board of directors for the ILBA and is the 2011 conference chair. Earl also participated in the overhauling of the Log Building Standards 2000, which is now called Effective Practices and Methods.
Always in pursuit of better joinery and quality building practices, Earl believes in upholding the highest standards of craftmanship. Earl believes that building homes that last for generations - unlike most conventional structures - is meaningful work and good stewardship of the Earth’s resources.
